about

'The New Wilderness' has been the most successful release for the band, to date.
9 of the 11 songs found their way onto radio stations over a combined period of 88 weeks, finding an international reach of 13 countries worldwide.

The album is about an estranged couple coming back together under strange circumstances.
The man essentially kidnaps the woman from her wedding, telling her she's still in love with her.
Over the course of the time they are 'on the run' she starts to fall back in love with him, a degree of Stockholm syndrome kicking in.

By the end of the album it appears as though the man is uncertain he made the right choice as they strike off to start anew in an off-the-grid wooded area.

PRESS :

"On this plate, the band has gone against a more classic rocky instrumentation with two guitars, bass and drums. The songs are nice rocky and fun to listen to...the plate is a cool rock album. "
- MATTIAS GUSTAVSSON, Ungtro.com (Sweden) (Nov 21, 2017)

"Their music consists of solid rock with some melodic coherence. At moments the sound color of Matt Gardiner is awfully close to that of Michael Stipe of R.E.M. From the sturdy rocking 'The Tourist' with sometimes flurries of symphonic rock to attractive ballads like 'Why You're Telling A Lie', these are songs that the rock fan can please. This 'The New Wilderness' was dedicated to Brent Whitford"
- Rootsville (Belgium) (Dec 06, 2017)

" It starts with a solid rocking song that "Memory Man" got the title. In our opinion, the song with the biggest hit potential is "Bring It Up During the Nighttime" which captivates from start to finish for 5 and a half minutes. However, the most melodic song is "How's The Weather Up There?"
- Rootstime (Belgium) (Dec 11, 2017)

"The Ground Level Falcon sound is like the 90th century grungescen has come back. Pearl Jam when they conspired with Neil young, roughly. …nice and stable rock that's there all the time if you just listen to an open mind and see the whole wide open to you. Ground Level Falcons are strolling between hårdrockens influences and still sound a rock of the Boss or Tom petty looking between the flow of music. Well, good music is nonetheless."
- Micheles Kindh, Blåskans Vanner (Sweden) (Jan 09, 2018)

“”Finally….. I put your new album in the CD player in the car today, for a long, long drive, and must have listened to it, all through, for at least 5 times….. I’m floored, completely floored! Great, great songs, brilliant playing, very strong production, and your voice becomes more and more of a young Michael Stipe, said in the most positive meaning….. This is definitely your strongest work to date!””
- Peter Holmstedt, Hemifran (Sweden) (Mar 17, 2018)

"The New Wilderness is a varied disc with interesting moments, such as the Memory Man opener button and the coupled that closes the first side formed by Bring It Up During The Nighttime and Why You're Telling A Lie influenced by Rem especially in the use of debut voice by Michael Stipe and the stoner in the instrumental parts with interesting changes of rhythm and atmosphere, creating a type of alternative rock very interesting and current. Until I Post It is another piece of rock moved and robust, softer and hypnotic in the parts sung, with a rough and distorted guitar, How's The Weather Up There? a dreamy ballad, but always with abrasive guitars, The Wedding Upheaval a sour hard rock."
- di Paolo Baiotti, Late for the Sky (Italy) (May 20, 2018)
